Epic Games will make the Fortnite code publicly available so that anyone can create their own content for the “royal battle”. This was stated by CEO Tim Sweeney in an interview with Fast Company.
The new Unreal Editor toolkit will allow players and specialists from various companies to create and sell custom content in Fortnite without the help of Epic Games. The release of the editor in open access is scheduled for the second half of 2022.
The Fortnite Creative editor is already available in the “royal battle”, with which players can make their own maps and share them with other gamers. In addition, the developers regularly collaborate with various brands, including Marvel, DC, NFL, Air Jordan, Ferrari and others.
Earlier it became known that Epic Games won a lawsuit against a Fortnite cheat dealer. The seller was ordered to pay a fine, refuse to sell illegal software, and also apologize to the fans of the “royal battle”
