This news could make fans worried, but at first there will be no radical changes, due to the contracts established between EA and the big football leagues, which will guarantee a substantial number of clubs, players and competitions. Our unique licensing portfolio of over 17,000 players, 700+ teams, 100+ stadiums and 30 leagues we’ve invested in for decades will still be there, exclusively on EA SPORTS FC.

It is likely that your favorite team (or the one most chosen in matches) will not suffer from changes in the squad. In addition, competitions such as: Conmebol Libertadores, Premier League, La Liga, Bundesliga, Serie A, MLS are confirmed for the next title that should be presented in July 2023.

Although the statement was issued today, Electronic Arts had already expressed its intention to abandon the FIFA name , since October 2021. The hypotheses are many, from the savings in FIFA brand licensing expenses, to EA’s own plans in make your football game something even expansive, as the statement transpires.

Will we have FIFA 23?

Despite the changes for next year, this year’s edition of FIFA is guaranteed and is expected to feature more features, game modes, elements related to the Qatar World Cup and more content than any other edition of FIFA ever released.
