Microsoft stopped sales in Russia. There won't be an Xbox either.

Microsoft announced the suspension of new sales of products and services in Russia. She took this step because of the sanctions imposed on Russia by the United States, the European Union and other countries.

Microsoft Vice President Brad Smith indicates that the company will work closely with the US, EU and UK governments to suspend various aspects of its business in Russia in accordance with their instructions.

Smith writes that since the beginning of the conflict between Russia and Ukraine, Microsoft has repelled more than twenty cyber attacks aimed at the Ukrainian government, the financial sector and the IT sector. The company maintains contact with its employees in Ukraine and provides them with comprehensive support, including helping to leave the country for security purposes.

Microsoft sold Windows and Office licenses, subscriptions to Microsoft 365 cloud products, OneDrive and Azure, apps and games for Windows 10 and 11, and games for Xbox in Russia.

According to Forbes , Microsoft has refused, among other things, sales of Xbox consoles, digital copies of games for them, and Xbox Live and Xbox Game Pass game subscriptions.
