Microsoft Defender for the Cloud Now Supports Google Cloud Platform

Microsoft is on a mission to make the multicloud environment less complicated for administrators. Microsoft Defender for the Cloud therefore also supports Google Cloud Platform from now on.

Microsoft Defender for the Cloud helps companies protect their cloud environments. To raise the bar for future cyber threats, Microsoft Defender for the Cloud now includes support for Google Cloud Platform.

The announcement clearly shows that Microsoft has done its homework well. The company is aware of the fact that most of the companies combine multiple cloud platforms. Microsoft ties this with the results of its own research, which shows that IT teams find it difficult to manage multicloud environments.

“If organizations are to fully adopt these multicloud strategies, it is critical that their security solutions reduce complexity and provide comprehensive security,” concluded Microsoft.

By supporting the Google Cloud Platform, Microsoft Defender for the Cloud provides support for the three largest cloud players: Microsoft Azure, AWS, and Google Cloud.
