Microsoft Announces New App Store Rules!

The rules are intended to allay fears about Microsoft’s recent Activision Blizzard acquisition. At this point, the tech giant plans to distance itself from two of its biggest rivals, which encourage App Store restrictions and legislation.

Microsoft doesn’t want to do what Apple is accused of

Microsoft said its Open App Store Principles are based on app store legislation considered by governments around the world, including the US and EU . The company made the following statements in a new post:

“We want regulators and the public to know that Microsoft, as a company, is committed to complying with these new laws and we continue to do so with these principles.”

It does not cover the operating system where Microsoft has made concessions such as allowing developers to use their own payment systems and opening the Windows store to third-party app stores, as well as reducing Windows games. The company pointed out that it will now open the Xbox store.

“Just as Windows is evolving into an open and widely used platform, we see the future of gaming following a similar path.”
