Developers find more and more new features and innovations in the latest beta builds of iOS 15.4, iPadOS 15.4 and macOS Monterey.
We have already talked about some of them, and now, among other things, it turns out that Apple allows you to create your own email domain on iPhone and iPad.
We are talking about a paid iCloud + subscription, which in Russia starts from 59 rubles per month. Previously, this tariff provided only 50 GB of iCloud storage, but with the release of iOS 15 in the fall of 2021, its capabilities have expanded, while the price remains the same. For example, Apple added the ability to change your email address to register on sites, while all letters from this site would come to the main mailbox.
Starting with iOS 15.4 and iPadOS 15.4, a user of a paid iCloud+ plan will be able not only to create random alias addresses, but also to manually choose a domain that he likes. You can do this in Settings → Apple ID → iCloud → iCloud Mail. In fact, Apple allowed itself to choose up to five unique domains – most likely, the service will check them for duplicates and will not allow fraud with “fake” email addresses.
Although your brand new “swap” mailbox address may look like god , iCloud Mail service will still be used to service it. Addresses created in this way can be deleted at any time.
The described feature takes to a new level the use of, say, branded mail of a small company or individual entrepreneur for feedback. In addition, even ordinary users will not refuse to create an email address to their liking. Previously, only some mail services provided such services – and they ask for this much more than 59 rubles per month.
